Step 1: Access the Adalo Editor

Log in to your Adalo account and open the project where you want to use an external collection.

Step 2: Navigate to the Database Section

Click on the Database icon located on the left sidebar of the Adalo editor.

Step 3: Add External Collection

In the Database section, click on the '+' button next to "Collections" to add a new data collection.

Step 4: Select External Collection

A modal will pop up asking if you want to create a new collection or use an existing one. Choose "External Collection".

Step 5: Configure External Collection

To set up the External Collection, you will need to provide the following:

  • Resource URL: Enter the API endpoint URL of your external database.
  • Authorization: Add any necessary headers like API keys for authentication. Use the 'Add Header' button to include these.

Step 6: Test the Connection

Click on the 'Test' button in the modal to make sure Adalo can successfully connect to the external collection. You should see a preview of the data if the connection works.

Step 7: Define Data Mapping
